How does Aerolase work?

Aerolase is an advanced 1064nm Nd:YAG laser that delivers targeted laser energy using a 650-microsecond pulse duration. This incredibly quick technology targets pigment and redness while stimulating collagen production – all without damaging the skin or surrounding tissues.

How many sessions of laser treatment do I need?

The best results will come from multiple sessions. We typically recommend a course of 6 sessions, but it depends on the condition being treated and our Medical Aesthetician’s personalized assessment. We recommend booking a skin consult to get a custom treatment plan based on your needs.

Does Aerolase laser treatment hurt?

Because of its incredibly quick laser technology, Aerolase laser treatment is virtually painless and very comfortable.

Who is a good candidate for laser treatments?

Laser treatments work for many skin types and concerns. Aerolase in particular is well-suited for patients of all skin tones, from Fitzpatrick 1-6. There are certain contraindications to treatment including pregnant women, or those on medications such as Epuris (Accutane). We recommend scheduling a complimentary consultation with our Medical Aesthetician to determine if you’re a good candidate for Aerolase.

Do I need to prep my skin before HALO treatment?

During your initial consultation, our Medical Aesthetician will assess your skin and recommend the appropriate pre-treatment protocols if needed. Patients with deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick 4-6) will need to pre-treat their skin with hydroquinone and retinol for up to 4 weeks before their first session. This minimizes the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and allows us to provide the safest and best possible outcomes. Please ensure you’ve completed a laser treatment consultation and followed the recommended skincare steps prior to booking your first HALO session.
